Fully Automated Disc Filter Cleaning

Purofiltec's Robotic Disc Filter Cleaning System is an advanced automated solution designed for cleaning metallic disc filters used in polymer melt filtration. The system combines robotic handling, high-pressure hydro-air backwash cleaning, and external pressurized water jet cleaning to deliver consistent, repeatable, and completely unattended cleaning.

Unlike conventional cleaning methods, the system automatically picks individual disc filters from a loading tray, performs a complete internal and external cleaning cycle, and places the cleaned disc into the unloading tray without any manual intervention.

Designed for modern polymer processing plants, the robotic system improves cleaning quality, reduces labor requirements, minimizes handling damage, and increases overall maintenance efficiency.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Fully Automated Disc Filter Cleaning Process

The complete cleaning process is fully automated.

01
STEP 01

Batch Loading

Operator loads a stack of 25 or 50 contaminated disc filters into the loading tray.

02
STEP 02

Automatic Disc Picking

Industrial robotic arm automatically picks one disc.

03
STEP 03

Disc Transfer

Disc is transferred to the cleaning station.

04
STEP 04

Hydro-Air Backwash

High-pressure Hydro-Air Backwash cleans the filter from inside to outside, removing trapped polymer contaminants.

05
STEP 05

External Water Jet Cleaning

External pressurized water jets clean both filter surfaces.

06
STEP 06

Automatic Unloading

Robot transfers the cleaned disc to the unloading tray.

07
STEP 07

Automatic Cycle Repetition

The cycle repeats automatically until the complete batch is cleaned.

Fully Automated Operation No manual handling is required during the cleaning cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Technical answers to common questions about Robotic Disc Filter Cleaning Systems.

The operator places a stack of 25 or 50 dirty disc filters in the loading tray. The robotic arm automatically picks each disc, performs hydro-air backwash cleaning followed by external high-pressure water jet cleaning, and places the cleaned disc into the output tray.

No. Once the batch is loaded and the cleaning program is started, the complete cleaning process is fully automatic. Manual intervention is only required for loading dirty discs and removing the cleaned batch.

The robotic system provides repeatable cleaning quality, minimizes labor requirements, reduces handling damage, improves safety, shortens maintenance time, and delivers consistent cleaning performance across every disc.

The loading tray is designed to accommodate a stack of 25 or 50 contaminated metallic disc filters per batch.

Yes. The cleaning cycle combines internal hydro-air backwash with external pressurized water jets to clean the filter surfaces.
